Organic
'Organic' in its simplest terms means letting Nature get on with the business of growing and nurturing. She is quite capable of doing this without the heavy hand of chemical fertilisers and pesticides.
Of course, organically managed farms sustain soil health and fertility - and by reducing exposure to pesticide residues, there is arguably a human health benefit in the long term.
Organic certification does not come easily. Percol's trusted coffee growers have to satisfy the Soil Association that their farming methods comply with strict codes of practice. Growers need to be constantly on their toes to ensure those standards are rigorously adhered to.
The farmers benefit because organic coffee commands a higher price in the world market for gourmet coffee.
Percol introduced the UK to its first delicious sip of Organic coffee in the mid-nineties. In order to ensure our coffee maintains the highest quality standards, we source organic Arabica beans wherever possible.
We aim to help coffee communities enjoy a sustainable future so that you can continue to enjoy great quality coffee.
