Cool cup that makes boiling coffee fit to sip
12th February 2008
A designer has solved the perennial problem of drinking burning hot tea and coffee with a cup that cools each mouthful to just the right temperature.
The travel mug keeps drinks just below boiling point but has a hidden chamber that cools a mouthful when it is tilted.
Seperated from the rest of the cup, it cools quickly to a perfect drinking temperature of 149F (65C) to 167F (75C).
Spero Pavlos, the inventor of the Brugo mug, said: "There is no delay between tipping, cooling and drinking."
